I was going to only post twice a week, but I like posting a lot and my Mom said she thinks I should post everyday. What do you think?
Also, I am entering Enni’s poetry contest (check this out as well). It’s awesome it’s awesome it’s awesome, so please check it out! 🙂 Btw you guys probably didn’t know I write poetry. *mysterious look* Well I actually don’t lol. Well sort of. I didn’t write poetry and then I think two years ago I took a massive interest to poetry in that that’s all I wrote, and then I stopped it, and now I’m entering this contest. XD I’m not very good at it and I don’t expect to win, but it’s good fun. 😉
Well, on to Define That Word!
For those of you who don’t know what Define That Word is, it is…
a game I made
basically defining words
How it will work|
Before I tell you, people who have already done this, please read it again in case I’ve changed a few things.
I will give you a couple of (usually four) made up words for you to define.
You will define the words in the comments.
After about a week, I will post some polls with all the defenitions to each word.
You guys will vote.
When I have enough votes, I will post the results.
There will be winners for each best definition, and one overall winner for the most votes for all of the words.
The winners will receive a button to put on their sidebar and the overall winner will receive a button as well as a chance to do a guest post on this blog. (if you don’t want to do a guest post, you don’t have to. I may choose someone else to do it if not. Don’t worry! You don’t have to share your email to do it)
I’ve decided as well that I’m not going to approve your defenitions till the end so that people don’t copy (now there is no need for rules).
Oh look there are still rules I’m so mean.
You may submit up to three defenitions for each word.
When voting for best defenitions, you may vote for your definition only if you actually think it is the best.
You can only vote once.
Your definitions cannot be anything inappropriate, or anything that doesn’t honor-God.
There was another rule, but I forgot it… if I remember it, I’ll tell you. 🙂
The made-up words|
Kenpies (ken-pise, NOT ken-pees)
Wow Zielle, those were totally weird. I wish you luck coz’ those words are haaaard! XD
What are your defenitions? |Do you think this is a good idea? |What have you been up to?
Hullo everybody! First of, sorry for not posting for a long time. I was away on camp. Anyways, remember the tag I started? Well, the beautiful Penelope has tagged me again. 🙂 Thanks girl! ❤
Define the words the person who nominates you gives you.
Tag the person who tagged you.
Tag back to Zielle. (btw this doesn’t mean to tag Zielle to do the tag again. Just to tag her name so people know she started it 😉 )
Nominate as many bloggers as you like.
Create at least 3 made-up words for the next blogger/s to do.
Say I made a word and passed it on to a blogger, and then that blogger passed another word on to you. If you like that word that I did, and would like to define it, then feel free to do so. But please define at least 2 words that blogger gave you, otherwise it wouldn’t be fair to them. 🙂
*UPDATE* Copy and paste these rules onto your tag post.
Why do I keep forgetting that last rule in every single tag I make? 😮 😛
PENELOPE’S WORDS & MY DEFINITIONS:
Fabila – the name of a chubby and jolly legendary enchantress
Borinka – something you say when you’ve discovered something. Like “Eureka!” but instead, “Borinka!”
Shina – the brand name of shampoo that makes your hair thicker and shinier
Yolim – a kind of strawberry and cherry jam mixed together, OR; something you would say when you suddenly feel happy.
Rytikim – a fictional rat who talks and fights with a pin as a sword ( XD )
Those words were great, Penelope! 🙂
Anyone who comments and would like to do it. 🙂
I currently have 29 followers. I’m going to do a Q&A when I hit 30! 😀
My Mom and I have been using this writing book for school called, “Writing From The Inner Self”. After reading a little bit, I wrote a small writing assignment Mom gave to me. 🙂 I thought I share it with you people, so here it is!
Question: How can writing touch and transform many different aspects of yourself?
Writing can expand my imagination, bringing me into new worlds. Writing can also help me to pour out my mind and my thoughts, helping me to see things in a somewhat imaginative and slightly different way.
For me, when I write, I feel so good about myself; I feel like I’m in my characters’ life. And that helps me when I write. 🙂
When I write and just let my mind flow, it brings out my creative self and it helps me to see the little things differently, because every little thing as a story! 🙂 I cannot imagine (well maybe I can 😉 ) what my life would be like if I never wrote; if I never even knew the art of writing. Writing is a thing where I can use every bit of my imagination even if it sounds silly.
Another aspect that could change about myself is my lack of courage and self assurance. That could happen once I’ve put a story out there for other people to see and critique. That could help me better in my future writings.
And something else that could change is the fact that I’m poor. 😛 Money comes when publishing a book, I believe, and that’s certainly something I’m looking forward too. 😉 lol
DEFINE THAT WORD POLLS
I got a few entries to my Define That Word game, so here is the poll where you guys can vote for the best definition/s. 🙂 Vote away! The results will be published within a near future post once I receive enough votes. Feel free to vote for your own doll if you think it is the best definition. 🙂 You can vote more than once by clicking ‘return to poll’, but please don’t vote for your definition more than once.
How do you feel about writing? How do you think it could change some aspects of yourself?
Do you think I should do more Define That Word games?
Do you think I post too much? I think maybe I do and if I keep doing it, readers won’t be able to see my later posts, even if they were just posted the day before or something like that. Do you think I should have a schedule when I post? Although I’m not really a fan of that, because when I think up something to write, I don’t like waiting to post it. I like to post it straight away. 😛
On my old blog I started this game like thing where I give you guys random made up words and you come up with your own made up defenitions of them. When I get a few defenitions, I’ll put a poll up for each word, and you guys can vote for the best definition. This was also in a page (and it still is) but I thought I’d put it in a regular post as well so that you guys can see it easier.
Here are the first four words:
(I used this word in another Define That Word game on my old blog, but I wanted to use it again) Keezies
Comment down below with your defenitions and I’ll let you know in another blog post when the poll is ready.
Also, I have a few rules for you guys:
You may vote for yourself, but only if you think it actually is the best
You may submit up to three defenitions
That’s it! Have fun!
Ready, set, define!
As you can see I added a backround to my header. I wanted to ask you guys if you liked it better than my old one with just the white backround. I think I liked the white backround better, but then I though maybe I should have some sort of notebook in my header (credit to Megan for making it) since my title is ‘My Homeschool Notebook’. And if I keep this in my header, should I also add some sort of notebook in one of my buttons as well? Comment below about what you think. 🙂
