The Greatest Showman {Movie Review}

Yes, I’m still on hiatus.

But this movie is just too good to pass up! And yes, I finally watched this amazing movie. Without further ado, The Greatest Showman, ladies and gentlemen!

yeah yeah… it came out last year. But I’m a slow watcher, kay? I stay outdated

Inspired by the imagination of P. T. Barnum, The Greatest Showman is an original musical that celebrates the birth of show business & tells of a visionary who rose from nothing to create a spectacle that became a worldwide sensation.

 

 

 

 

Cast: Hugh Jackman ( ❤ ), Zac Efron, Zendaya, Michelle Williams, Rebecca Ferguson

The Review

Plot/flow of the movie: The plot was really good. I think it went a little bit fast, though. At first I didn’t really like how he was promoting the people in his circus and showing them to the world just to make money, but then I realized it was giving those people a family and a place to be themselves. I also liked it how the people in the circus weren’t only there because of how they looked (like Lettie), but also their backround; where they come from, and who their family is (like Anne Wheeler). I just aaaaaah love this movie so much. *gushes over how awesome it is*

Characters & dialogue: I loved them SO much. They were just AMAZING. I loved their dialogue; it was so inspiring and encouraging (especially Charity Barnum’s dialogue). Charity never complained, and she is so supportive of her husband, and soooo sweet. My favorite characters were Charity Barnum and Phillip Carlyle. Phillip is so sweet and he’s an AMAZING singer. And of course Hugh Jackman was awesome as always! I loved his character; especially his Dad role. His two little girls were just precious as well.

And even though that critic guy didn’t like Barnum’s show, I liked how he still played a bigger role in the movie and was kind of like a help to Barnum in a way.

Music: Obviously I have to add music in, since this is a musical after all.

The music was probably the best part of the movie! I’m learning them on piano now. 😉 The lyrics of the songs are so beautiful.

Overall, this movie is a must watch if you haven’t watched it already. I love the message it sends, the dialogue, the characters, the acting is amazing, the music, everything about it, and just to show you how superb it is, I watched it twice, two days in a row! 😀
