On this day, April 12 last year, I opened this blog. Yes, I have been blogging on MHNblog for 1 year! I won’t be doing anything to celebrate because I have no ideas, though.
Technically I have been blogging for almost three years, counting the time spent on my old MHN blog, but the new MHN deserves it’s own blogiversary, so…
First of all, THANK YOU to everyone who has stuck by me, or even followed me from my old blog to this one ❤ Thank you for all your encouraging comments!
Second, in this post I mentioned that I’m having trouble with post ideas and I was considering changing my blog name. For now, I think I will just leave it as it is, because when I first started my first blog with this same name I wasn’t thinking days in the life of a homeschooler, I was just thinking journal entries; thoughts; snippets from my brain. That’s why it’s My Homeschool Notebook. It still might not work and I may eventually change it, but not for now.
Coz’ everyone loves stat time
My First Post
And because I totally forgot (like I always do) to put something in my last post, it’s going here. At least it gets its own post. Enjoy. 😉
I also remember when my older brother decided he wanted to give the chickens a scare. So with the help of my oldest brother, my younger brother and myself, we built a scarecrow out of old clothes, a bucket and hay. We staked it into the ground beside the garden bed and headed to the chicken coop.
We opened the door and let all the chickens out, the experiment in our heads going that the chickens would be scared of the scarecrow and we would have a good laugh. And I’m guessing they were scared of it because my Mom recalls seeing us through the window running around probably with out arms outstretched trying to grab the runaway chickens.
Coming outside, my Mom asked what we were doing, and my brother told her. We were having a pretty hard time chasing after those chickens.
Then as siblings do, we all blamed my brother for his monstrosity of an idea.
I hope you enjoyed that extra snippet, and THANK YOU to all my awesome followers. *throws confetti everywhere* *hugs my computer because it keeps my blog alive*
