Back 2 School {My DIY 2018 Yearbook/Planner Tour)

*I’m actually excited for back to school…

*I’m weird that way…
like it? πŸ˜‰

Welcome to today’s post! Since 2017 (*gapes* wow I’ve been doing this since last year hahahaa my old joke for every year AHEM), December, I’ve been working on a yearbook/planner for the my school year 2018. This is my 2nd year of highschool, so unlike last year, I want to plan my school out better and actually achieve my goals.

I’m kinda obsessed with planner pages (when they’re done right. They have to perfect!), but with this planner/yearbook (I’m just gonna refer to it as PY from now on), I’ve been trying to look for a more creative approach to this. Let’s say I half failed half um… un-failed.

First, sorry for all the crappy pictures! :/

The cover of my binder looked kind of old, so depending on my mood, I may change it toΒ  something more modern.

Here I have my index page. It’s still a work in progress, as you can see it’s not yet completed. The next page is an ‘ideas page’ where I put down any ideas for a project, and when I’m bogged for ideas, I can simply go to that page. And there you have my horrible artwork.

Just today were at the store so my Mom bought me notebooks for my school. I had this amazing idea to get binder books so I could store all my notebooks in my binder so I wouldn’t have to carry them to the table everyday. Instead, I’d have them all in one binder. #lightbulb

A few things went wrong 1) I didn’t pay attention, and 3 of the six notebooks I got did not have binder holes in them 2) not all of them fit into my one binder.

Luckily, I saved the day and I had another binder. I put my three orange notebooks in a separate binder. My more important and more studied subjects such as English, Math and Science went in there. Those were the ones with the binder holes.

The green ones without the binder holes, I simply slipped them in a protective sheet and clipped it into my PY.

In this second section of my PY, I have my School Supplies. I have my current curriculum list, and on the next page the curriculum I need to buy/look at/borrow from the library.

In the next section I have a place where I can look at it and see my whole year on paper.

Jeremiah 29:11 ” ‘For I know the plans I have for you’ declares the Lord. ‘Plans to prosper and not for calamity. To give you a future and a hope’.” ❀

Then I added in a Lesson Planning section so I can see what subjects I have to do on the day, and what chapter. I wasn’t really needed, but I had fun doodling on the pages so I kept them in. πŸ˜‰

After that I have my Attendance, Grades and Assignments. Basically in this section are my attendance, grades and assignments… So I can see how many days of each month I did my schooling, and what subjects need to be improved by what grades I get.

Then there is my English section, where I have a bookshelf. When I read a book I write the title, author and date on one of the books. Then I have my Brave Writer transcript (I removed my name from the bottom) from 2016 when I took and Expository Essay class, and my Exploratory Essay is on the following pages.

Then I have History and my Artsy Art Adventure section, not that I’m very artsy… And then I have the 30 Day Doodle Challenge. I got it from here. Here I’ll put all my artwork.

Next I have Home Economics where I plan to put my own recipes, pictures of my cookings, and other home ec. related stuff.

After that I have extra curricular stuff like choir and piano and drama.

And that’s finished! πŸ™‚ I hope you didn’t get bored hehe πŸ˜‰

See you tomorrow for AAWC challenge two!

Smile! God loves you.

  2. I’m very excited to do and study Creative Writing with readings with you. I also want to do the, “Books to Read” with you, too. You are making a copy of ‘untitled books on the bookshelf’ page, aren’t you? πŸ™‚
