Ardent Author’s Writing Challenge {Challenge One} **UPDATED** (if you have already read this, uh… please read again)

Hi everyone! As you probably noticed, I didn’t finish my Christmas series. So sorry about that!!

And I know this is late, but Merry Christmas! And Happy New Year. πŸ™‚ I hope you all have a wonderful new year! Welcome, 2018!!

So welcome to challenge one of AAWC! πŸ˜€ Without further ado, here are the teams:

I know not all of you got on your first choice team, but I did my best, and I hope you have fun! πŸ™‚

Let me refresh your memory of the rules and guidelines. πŸ™‚

|Getting extra points|

  • You can take photos or draw pictures to illustrate your story. You will get 2 points per photo and illustration.
  • Creativity. This is how creatively you use the prompts. At the end of each round I’ll select my favorite story and that person will earn more points for their team.
  • If you use the name of you team in your story, you can earn a point for your team. (e.g forest; the forest was dark and gloomy)
  • You’ll get a point for each prompt you use, and a point for submitting your story/poem.

|Challenge One Prompts|

Have fun, guys! You have until the 6th of January, 2018 (oh it feels good saying that) to submit your entry. πŸ™‚ Looking forward to reading what you come up with!

Also, please please please leave the link to your entry in the comment section, and at the start of your entry, it would be very helpful if you could say how many prompts you used and how many pictures you submitted along with your story. πŸ™‚

Again, have fun, and again, happy new year!!

**UPDATE**

All entries must be clean. That means no gore. No super dark stories. No swearing. No taking God’s name in vain. No inappropriate things. I know you probably won’t do this (because you guys are awesome), but just in case. I’m going to be reading all these stories, and I want my reads to be pleasant. πŸ˜‰

*this is by no means a professional competition, so I make a few mistakes. πŸ˜‰ Please bear with me. Hehe.Β

  2. Hey there!
Um, I just realized that due to some real life happenings, I’ll be unable to compete in this. I’m really sorry! I was so looking forward to doing this, but the prompts had so much potential to write about!
    Sorry again. 😦

      • Haha!!! Yeah….I don’t know about that… πŸ˜‰ I think you underestimate my talent of writing a LOOOT in one day! πŸ˜‰ XD It might be like a ….mini novel! πŸ˜€ XD

      • XD Haha! Maybe…. I’ve never tried! πŸ˜‰ Haha!!! πŸ˜€ That would be fun though!!!! I mean… if NaNoWriMo people can write a book in a month, then surely I could do a minibook in a day, right? Haha!!! Jk, but maybe I could… πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜€ What time on the 6th does it need to be in by? Midnight? Or like…BY the sixth..so like by midnight the FIFTH?

      • Haha! πŸ˜‰ Maybe! XD
Thanks!! You’re good!!! I drew two pictures for it today, so hopefully I can get to scanning in the pictures tomorrow AND writing the story! The thing is, we have to leave the house by …. 1:00 or 1:30 tomorrow afternoon, so I won’t have long to write! :O πŸ˜‰ Thanks for letting me know about the time thing, though! It makes me feel better about the little bit of time I have left! πŸ˜‰

What did you think? I'd love to hear your thoughts. Please keep them clean and respectful, and do not take God's name in vain. Thanks!
